Urban Progress A remain on course to retain the Premier Division title in Watford and District Table Tennis League

Reigning champions Progress A remain top of the Watford and District Table Tennis League Premier Division after they completed a 6-2 win over Aardvarks.

Mitchell Jones impressed for the Progress side as he remained unbeaten in his matches.

Second-placed Bats gained full points with a 7-1 victory over Watling A, while Post Office had to settle for a 4-4 draw against Abbots Langley. Ken Stonebridge of Abbots won three of his games.

In Division One, leaders Cougars’ team of James Banfield, Jon Marlow and Ralph Taylor made easy work of Gazelles and secured an 8-0 win. Dave Sims and Ian Hamilton starred for Dolphins in their 7-1 win over Watling C, while Watling B did no better in their contest as they were downed 6-2 against Eagles.

Audit A recorded a comfortable 7-1 win against Jaguars in Division Two, while a entertaining match between Oxhey Hall and Kangaroos saw Hall record a 5-2 victory.

The only match played in Division Three saw David Saunders and Tom Sapunziev claim victory in all their games to help Audit B record a 6-2 win over Watling E.
