Top of the Watford & District Table Tennis League Division Two table Audit A ease past Iguanas

Audit A remain clear at the top of the Watford & District Table Tennis League Division Two table after completing a comfortable 7-1 win over Iguanas.

Nick and James Weston were unbeaten for Audit who have nearly twice as many points as their nearest rivals.

Kangaroos defeated Meerkats 7-1 while Jaguars and Lions drew despite the best efforts of Mitchell Hyams who won three of his games for Jaguars.

In the Division One, Watling B overcame Hounds 6-2 thanks to a strong display from Ian Banfield. Cougars battled hard to defeat Eagles 5-3.

Falcons and Dolphins couldn’t be separated as their clash ended in a 4-4 stalemate.

With Premier Division leaders Progress A not in action, the teams below them in the table had the opportunity to make up some ground.

Aardvarks eased to a 7-1 win over Post Office and the youthful Bats side recorded a 6-2 victory against Fullerians.

In a closer match than the score suggests, Abbots Langley ran out 7-1 winners against Progress B with Ian Mablin and Ken Stonebridge unbeaten.

In Division Three, Panthers drew their matches against Ospreys and Progress C while Watling A suffered a disappointing 8-0 loss against Ospreys.

Division One: Falcons 4-4 Dolphins; Cougars 5-3 Eagles; Hounds 2-6 Watling B.
