Friday night’s match was a game of two halves; one where the first included some superb play from Watford’s players but it was overshadowed by a very disappointing second half. But over the course of the 90 minutes, who was your Watford man-of-the-match?

Did the all-action display of Almen Abdi impress you most? Was the accomplished Nathaniel Chalobah your pick of the bunch? Or were the defensive displays of the returning Tommie Hoban and long-standing Lloyd Doyley the best in the yellow of Watford?

Man of match Fernando Forestieri. Before he enters, 2-0, then he is envolved in both the actions of the Crystal's goals.

Almen Abdi was the man who was instrumental in us taking a 2-0 lead. Hoban would have been my choice if he or anyone of the four players around the ball had booted it clear before the Palace player put it in for 2-1. Almunia needs to be more commanding in his area.

The Palace manager of course cos of what he said about our foreign legion. Oh, sorry you said man of the match not prat of the match. I agree that young Hoban was very good. Shame that Vydra was taken off too early in my view.

You can't blame our players around the ball for their first goal, they were all on their backsides. We knew palace would come back at us in the second half and we perhaps should of tried to retain the ball better, other than that a point gained against a good side. We are still up there and still have our best players fit and ready for the next game. I'm confident we will come back stronger because the players were dissapointed to have let the two goal lead slip. Even fitz hall on Twitter was saying how annoyed he was and he doesn't usually tweet about us. Let's get behind the team again and enjoy the run in from here.

Oh and man of the match.... Almen abdi/Tommie hoban. Too close to call.

On Holloway, he was appointed on 3 Nov and after a good start Palace have now won 3 league games in 14 (that's relegation form). Holloway is no doubt under pressure 'cos if Palace don't get promoted this season, they lose Zaha and know next season they could be in trouble.
Without the disruption of Internationals, we would have won. The Premier league allow clubs playing Europa League on Thursdays to play on Sunday, But Sky rules, and thus we suffer and had just 48 hours recovery time including Travel, Nosworthy had even less & missed out altogether.
As we all saw. Vydra was way below his usual sharpness

Oh....and for the record Mr HOLLOWAY, both sides finished the game with the same number of loanees.........
Palace had Butterfiled (Norwich), Phillips (Blackpool), Richards (Swansea) and Dobbie (Brighton). With Forestieri for Vydra WFC also had 4 (Chalobah, Cassetti, Pudil & Abdi) the other 7 are signed.

Holloway is a plank! It's unfair we have so many loans? Well I think it's unfair that you can sell a player and bank £10Million and still have him playing for you on loan from the club you sold him to the day before!

Well said! the table was turned on it's head today, results really went our way today. Anything to do with internationals?.. We just simply dropped too deep as that can happen 2-0 up. We let Palace control and gave them the initiative. GZ may have said it felt like a loss but so many points were dropped everywhere else today, Back to business away to Brum next week.

It was gutting that the game slipped away from us but I suppose the ironic thing is that we gained ground on the teams around us for second spot as Hull, Leicester and M'boro all lost!
You can't change the past and there is no point dwelling on what could of been, the best thing for us is to concentrate on the next game and pick up a win and see what happens from there!
I still believe we can grab second spot!

Almunia is a million times more commanding than Loach ever was. While we were lucky with results today i don't think we are good enough to go up in an automatic place, it's not the first time we've choked .
Also i think last night showed up zola's lack of experience, it was clear that palace were still in the game at half time, yet he did nothing to try and change the game in the second half when it was all palace, maybe a change of formation? deeney up top on his own and bring on eustace,we desperatly needed some experience in the middle

looks a better result, with Hull, Leicester and Borough all losing. What odds on the three of them all losing ???. With Cardiff drawing turned out to be a point gained not two lost, This will go to the last game for the positions 2/6. Regrettable looks like fattys old boys are all but up.

Game of two halfs.Palace are a good side make no bones about it. By our high standards we only played in second gear and did not get going second half once Palace loaded midfield and pushed up wing backs.
Not so long back Palace was taking most sides apart so it was just a matter of time untill they came alive again.
I still believe Gianfranco has not found the best 11 yet, i for one do not feel the team playing against Palace is the best side we can field.And as commented poor Fernando was involved in both of the goals the other night.For me that was just the way the cookie crumbles as i believe he will be one of the best players we have over future seasons.Happy days ahead.

Bang on. When the going gets tough the tough get going and with some vets like Doyley and Almunia with the cutting edge up front we're set up for a great finish.

I'm worried that Almunia hasn't got any bottle, he may be a good shot stopper but he lets slight injuries affect his performance and our results,eg, he had a minor hamstring problem against Charlton, against Hull he had a problem with his arm which affected his throwing. Last match he could of prevented their first goal byputting his hand on the ball but soon as he saw the big Palace lad steaming in he whipped his hand away sharpish.

Gutted to throw away a 2 goal lead but now happier that no one in the top 6 won.

What has worried me all season is that we do not appear to have enough grit or bite in midfield. We are a joy to watch on the ball but when not in possession it's scary. The midfield seem to disappear. We also look scary defending set pieces too. Then I think, I mustn't complain, the season has far surpassed my expectations.

And then, it's going to be gutting if we miss out on promotion due to just lacking a little steel. You can't have 11 ball players

For Palace's first goal Almunia was like a schoolkid who had been put in goal because he was useless everywhere else. I have never seen a keeper pull back like that before.
