Abdi's excellent first-half display and goal resulted in the Swiss midfielder securing 36 per cent and Lloyd Doyley was third with just under 100 nominations.
Nathaniel Chalobah received 6 per cent of the votes and 20 readers believe one of the other Watford players were the best Hornets player.
