Rickmansworth cricketer Raveena Laktharia sporting tips from Dame Kelly Holmes at the Jaguar Academy of Sport’s first mentoring workshop of 2013.

Laktharia was part of the 2012 Rising Stars group which assembled at the University of Warwick last weekend.

The Mentoring and Education Programme (MEP) was delivered by Kelly Holmes Education and saw Holmes, in her patron role, joined by British swimming legends and MEP ambassadors Mark Foster and David Roberts.

The two-day workshops focused on coping with injury and planning for success and Laktharia, who has been training with both Middlesex and Loughborough Academy, said: “It’s been great catching up with the mentor team and also the other rising stars and hearing about what they’ve been up to.

“I’ve learnt a lot and I’ll definitely be able to implement a lot of the things into my training to improve as a cricketer.”
