Kings Langley Ladies maintained their unbeaten record in 2013 after they thumped Bishop Stortford Ladies 7-2 in Bed Beds & Herts Women's League Division Three.

Langley were on the front foot from kick and Mary Hogan missed a good chance to put the hosts ahead as she fired wide with the goal at her mercy.

The visitors thought they had broken the deadlock on ten minutes but the referee ruled the goal out for a foul on the goalkeeper.

Three minutes later and Kings opened the scoring. Amy Earthrowl played a pass through to Kim Nield and she slotted the ball home. Stortford immediately hit back though as a rasping shot found the net.

The equaliser spurred Langley to attack and they retook the lead when Nield grabbed her second before completing her hat-trick before the half hour.

There were to be more goals before the interval as Stortford reduced the deficit from the penalty spot.

However, Kings reasserted their two goal advantage when Nicole Barrett headed home Nield's pass across the box and she added Langley’s fifth before the interval.

Two chances were made to the hosts’ side at the interval as Jade North and Katie Nield entered the contest.
