Oxhey Jets Vets' fine run in the County Cup came to a dramatic end when they suffered a heavy defeat away to VFC.

Lewis Putman and Owen Deamer scored for the visitors but it wasn't enough to save them from a 6-2 loss.

Turner Trophies Challenge Cup Quarter-Final

In a close game in the main league cup, Premier Division Oakview narrowly defeated Evergreen, of Division Three, by the odd goal in three after extra-time.

Anthony Shepherd and Lee Armitt found the net against a goal by Callum Rimmer for Evergreen, who gave the victors quite a run for their money.

WSFL Intermediate Cup Round Two

A much-delayed tie saw Divison One side AFC Spartians hand out a 12-1 thrashing to Met Police (Bushey).

Star man Tom Horton was rewarded with five goals, his brother Dan netted a double, while Jamie Hunt, Darren Lancaster, Tom Duncan, Darren Newland and Kieron Nelhams plundered the rest of the dozen. Police had only Richard Taylor's effort to show for their efforts.

WSFL Intermediate Cup Quarter-Final Two

Division Two teams contested a hard-fought game as leaders Old Fullerians were pushed all the way by fifth-placed AFC Bushey before winning 2-1.

Wes Gullin and Ben Williams scored for Fullers and Ryan Legge for AFC.

WSFL Junior Cup Quarter-Final

There was almost the shock of the day in the cups when Division Four strugglers Rickmansworth Arthletic lost 5-4 on penalties after an epic battle against Division Three leaders Shenley Wood after the game had finished 2-2 after extra-time.

Ricky's goals came from Joe Morey and Shane Kitts, while Dean Lewis and Daniel Beck netted for their opponents.

Premier Division

Leaders Bushey are having a tough time but they came through a close run game with Wellington Arms 2-1 thanks to Daryl Brown and an own goal. Simeon Armstrong scored the reply.

Hammer opened up the gap between third and fourth place when they hammered Gadeside Rangers 6-0 through four-goal Chris Blunden and a pair for Nathan Pooley.

St Josephs had a bad day as they were turned over 4-0 at home by Oxhey Estates.

Chris Killer, Paul Wyard, Wayne Gladdy and Paul Danslow scored the goals that secured the local derby bragging rights.

Division One

West Herts increased their promotion hopes when they went three points clear at the top after a 2-0 away win against CK Guild thanks to Sam Saleh and Roger Lake.

Division Two

Fourth-placed Sun Postal Sports have gradually climbed away from from the lower regions of the league over the last few weeks and they enjoyed a stunning 5-2 victory over Victoria.

Brothers Steve and Louis Hakner both netted, as did Nicky Thomas and Mark Harris, with Jamie Beaumont registering Victoria's sole reply.

There was also a good win for Wellington Arms Reserves, in eighth, as they defeated third-placed Hammer Reserves 4-2.

Jake Woolhead led the way with a couple of goals, supported by Dave Purnie and an own goal. Tom Ford scored both for Hammer.

Division Three

With the two top sides occupied by cup games, third-placed AFC Oddfellows made merry by beating Woodlands United away 6-2.

The top scorer was Connor Flanagan with four goals, along with one each by Bert Sandling and Jeff Jones. Matthew Tate netted twice for Woodlands.

Ebury Guild, in fourth, kept in touch by winning 3-1 against Sun Postal United through Gino de Antonis, Alex Tomlinson and Rishi Doshi.

There was an 11-goal thriller as fifth-placed Hertsmere (Sunday) came out on top 7-4 at The Pavillion.

Martin Lamb led the way with four, Jamie Haigh netted two and Mike Smith one.

The defeat was hard on Martin Bartlett, who netted a hat-trick for Pavillion, with brother Lee also scoring.

Division Four

Leaders Oxhey Lions' advantage is down to three points after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Green Dragon Reserves.

Louis Whitfield, Ollie Brinton and Ryan King were on target for the table-topping hosts, whose goals were cancelled out by Lewis Walker (2) and Dan Bailey.

Second-placed Racing Santandome made sure they capitalised on this partial lapse by beating West Watford 3-1 thanks to Martin Preston, Dean McKane and Chris Kanai. Dan Meadows scored the visitors' consolation.

A Paul Newnham brace and David McConnon's goal fired West Herts Reserves to a 3-2 victory at Carpenders Park Rangers, for whom Bradley Drum and Abbas Khan netted.

The other game in the divison also ended 3-2, but this time to the home side as Gadeside Rangers Reserves got the better of AFC Bushey Reserves.

Bartosz Wiernik, Tom Shurville and Chrisa Laurent netted for the victors, witg David King and George Ray replying.
