Watford & District Table Tennis League Division One leaders Cougars maintained their good form with a 7-1 victory over Watling C.

Dave Miller won all three of his matches to help the table toppers to a comfortable victory.

Dolphins’ poor form continued as they were beaten 7-1 by Eagles while, despite Graham Spooner being undefeated for Watling B, they were held to a 4-4 by Falcons.

In the Premier Division, Antony Budden starred for the Fullerians side who drew 4-4 against Abbots Langley while it was the same score in Progress A’s clash with their B side. Glen Wilkes was undefeated on his return from injury as Aardvarks defeated Watling A while Post Office failed to deliver and were beaten 6-2 by Bats.

The Newts’ side of Karl Seddon, Gerry Evans and Tony Cornell claimed a comfortable 8-0 win over Kangaroos in Division Two.

Jaguars defeated Iguanas 5-3 and then overcame Oxhey Hall 6-2 in a rearranged fixture. Steve Marsh won all three of his matches as Meerkats overcame Lions 5-3.

In Division Three, Watling D beat Ospreys 8-0 and Panthers defeated Quails 6-2. In a hard-fought contest, bottom of the table Watling E suffered a 5-3 loss against Raccoons.
