Little Hay golfer Stephen Rutherford celebrated a narrow victory in the Alan Irwin trophy as he defeated 26 of the club’s members.
Rutherford secured top spot after finishing on 43 stableford points, although his victory was decided on countback.
Tony Hodson finished as the runner-up while the top three was rounded off by Steven Crowhurst who ended on 42 points.
Scores in the club’s Winter League are closely matched after five rounds with just three strokes separating the top four pairs.
Glen Mason and Rutherford currently lead on 216 while Jamie McIvor and Tom Butler are second on 214. Just one point behind are the pairs of Dave Smith and Paul Williams and Alan Freeman and Jim Morris.
