GT probably knows an awful lot more than he has ever let on, indeed, his silence during the Baz era was deafening. I can only think he stayed on as long as he did to save the club from certain doom and as soon as he knew Pozzos were for real resigned to prompt the takeover. The "Good Lord" just wanted out ASAP he didn't give two hoots about Baz's suitability as long as he got his money out and washed his hands.

I just hope that once the FL make their decision (which hopefully will not penalise the current ownership) we can then draw a line under the Baz farce and move forward...and then enjoy the Baz sideshow as "good sport"!

Er, not by the account I read - the Salad Boys are claiming against Bassini over money they claim they loaned him to buy the club, Bassini is claiming the money was not a loan. So, on the face of it Bassini might have been a front for the Russo's in their battle with Ashcroft and Simpson. Like most I hope this all turns into an interesting sideshow as the 'Orns march onwards and upwards after the announcement due on Friday.

I have to admit to being taken in by the surgeon connection, it leant Bas an air of respectability.
