Who was your Watford man-of-the-match against Sheffield Wednesday?

Picture: Action Images Picture: Action Images

Fernando Forestieri’s two goals would have snatched the headlines last night, had it not been for Dave Jones’ rant about the referee, but did the forward do enough to secure your vote for man-of-the-match?

Watford were 1-0 down at half-time and Gianfranco Zola believes the introduction of Forestieri and Nathaniel Chalobah at the break were crucial to his side securing a 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond may have been at fault for the Owl’s goal but he arguably kept his team in the game during the first half and also made a crucial save to secure all three points.

But who was your man-of-the-match against Sheffield Wednesday? Take part in our ballot and explain your decision below.

I think it has to be Bondy, OK probably at fault for the first goal, but then the ball should never have been with him, but he kept us in the game until the subs made an impact.

F.F supplied the urgency, but N.C. provided the craft and coolness that was needed..

Jonathan Bond is a very good surprise package to come to the field this season I was a little concerned that we didn't have cover for the keeper role but I'm more then happy to see him keeping guard between the sticks for the rest of the season

the future is bright the future is YEEEELLLLOOOOOOWWWWW

Battochio was excellent throughout. Even in the first half when we were up against it he was fizzing around showing for the ball and picking up the pieces.it didnt show so much in the second half as we changed our shape and got Chalobah on the ball.. FF and NC were excellent and will grab the headlines but it was CB for me..

I think that is a fair assessment one lars, which I tend to agree with. I think Battochio is excellent already but will undoubtedly improve a lot more as time goes by. FF provided the energy and the game changing goals, so for me it's between those two.

I'm going to have to say ff for me. There were a lot of good performances out there but nobody has set the Vic alive for a while and ff just about got us going, 2 well taken goals and looked solid when tracking back. He also strung some neat passes together when he needed to. Great performance from all in the second half. I love a nice come back

Think Ekstrand had a really good game, but I know FF grabbed the goals and important and good as they were, I think Bond's saves (particularly from the Lita header which was a superb save) were just as if not more important. Bondy for me.

Given a strong performance from both Bond and FF, I would still have to edge towards NC. As soon as he appeared we regained the midfield, which had been a mess for the first 45. A mate of mine, seeing Chalobah for the first time this season, simply remarked "I am so glad I've got to see that guy play for 45 minutes. We'll really miss him if we don't get him back next year."

Fessi grabs the headlines as he got the goals and he produced the spark we needed but Bond saved us a few times! There was some other good performances and moments of good play from Chaloboah, Battocchio and Ekstrand too!
As a squad we have so much quality and when only a few play exceedingly well that can be enough to get us through!
Tough game last night and we grinded it out which is pleasing as you can't play attractive footy and spank everyone every week!

Cassetti for me (guile/Skill/calmnes
s/good team organiser) - but the half time subs turned the game - looks to me like Hoggs' agent has work to do after May!

Are you lot mental???

100% has to be Bond. Its not even a debate.

If it wasnt for Bond we would have been 3 nil down at half time and bring FF or NC wouldnt have mattered anyway. Not to mention that save from Litas header at the end.

Not even a debate.

Anya was superb, Bondy made some Worldy's, Chalobah changed the game and Fessi won us the match !!!

No more testing please GFZ !!!

Yes Chalobah and Doyley were "rested", no other reason ...

I say "rest in the summer lads", but 10 games to go, the sweet perfume of the prem is started to arouse"

NO RISKS please

Not man of the match, maybe, but let me put in a word for Anya. I supported him earlier in the season, when some on here wrote him off. But I supported him as a good alternative to have on the bench. I was wrong. He has become rather more than that. He is an asset to the team and the squad. He must be signed permanently, along with the other, obvious signings.

Also I like the way Battochio tries to get the crowd going with his gestures etc.

I thought Anya was immense throughout. An attacking threat first half - the low cross for Vydra's missed chance was inch perfect - and diligently defensive after the interval.

Cassetti for me second half, anya in the first.
Need to do something with the ball boys who think not getting up and helping is funny, get it sorted Watford, they got the fans in the lower rous upset
