The league is currently made of eight teams but it is being expanded to 20 teams over two divisions from next year in a bid to transform the women’s game in England as part of a five-year plan undertaken by the FA.
The Golden Girls, who are currently second in the FA Women’s Premier League, can expect to hear whether their application has been successful once the adjudication process has been completed in June.
The full list of clubs is: Arsenal Ladies, Aston Villa Ladies, Birmingham City Ladies, Brighton & Hove Albion Women, Bristol Academy, Charlton Athletic Women, Chelsea Ladies, Colchester United Ladies, Coventry City Ladies, Derby County Ladies, Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies, Durham Women, Everton Ladies, Gillingham Ladies, Keynsham Town, Leeds United Ladies, Leicester City Women, Lincoln Ladies, Liverpool Ladies, London Bees (Barnet), Manchester City Ladies, Millwall Lionesses Ladies, Milton Keynes Dons Ladies, Nottingham Forest Ladies, Oxford United Ladies, Portsmouth Ladies, Reading Women, Sheffield United Ladies, Stoke City Ladies, Sunderland Women, Watford Ladies, West Ham United and Yeovil Town Ladies.

Great for the town and the respective clubs, if it happens.
Good luck to them.
