Steven Finn scored a gutsy 20 runs but was unable to prevent England slipping to 167 all-out on Day Two of the first test against New Zealand.
The Watford-born fast bowler is not renowned for his batting but rose to the challenge where his most of his teammates higher up the order had failed, putting on 20 runs in 40 balls.
Finn was eventually caught by Hamish Rutherford off the bowling of Neil Wagner before taking up the task of restricting New Zealand's first innings total.
England finished the day wicketless with the Kiwis in command on 131 but Finn was probably the pick of the struggling attack, bowling 12 overs for 35 runs with two maidens.
