Watford defenders Lloyd Doyley and Nyron Nosworthy named in Jamaica squad

Lloyd Doyley’s consistency for Watford has been recognised with a call-up to the Jamaica squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Panama and Costa Rica.

The popular defender, who is only four appearances short of becoming just the tenth player to clock up 400 Hornets appearances in the club’s history, has been named in the 25-man squad alongside fellow Watford defender Nyron Nosworthy.

Indeed, the squad has something of a Watford theme to it because former players Adrian Mariappa, Jobi McAnuff and Theo Robinson have also been included.

Jamaica are at home to Panama on March 22 before making the trip to Costa Roca on March 26, three days before the Hornets are due to take on Burnley in their Good Friday clash.

One hand Amazing News - WELL DESERVED LLOYD

On other hand, both Doyley and Nosworthy playing in Panama 3 days before our game v Burnley, so both likely jet lagged !!!!

Need Hall, and Hoban fit by then

He's Watford through & through. Good luck Lloyd. I still remember your debut when you came on as a Substitute.

This is brilliant news for Lloyd.
How well he has adapted to Zola's tactics this season - he deserves this.
There are not many players about these days who show the kind of loyalty he has.
I salute you Lloydiniho.

Amazed that the Janaican FA has taken so long to call him up. Did someone have to tell the Jamaican FA that Lloyd is eligible to play???

of all the fantastic bits of WFC news I've seen over the last year, this one has made me happier than most.

Absolutely delighted for him, in an age of cynicism and mercenary footballers, LD is a true gentleman and an absolute credit to the club and the game.

A Watford legend worthy of the title, and one of the few footballers you'd be happy with your kids looking up to.

Well done Lloyd, thoroughly deserved.

that remains the funniest thing I've seen at the Vic, and sums up the Vialli era perfectly.

I think LLoyd has been playing a waiting game.
He is obviously fed up waiting for his England call up so thought he might as well play a bit of international football with Jamaica.!!!

Find it amusing Hull can have a game moved 24 hours when their kick-off is put back a whole two hours, yet, we have players away in Jamaica and we cant move a game back 24 hours to the Saturday!
