West Herts Hockey Club Thirds clinch promotion

West Herts Hockey Club Thirds sealed promotion from Division Four SW after an emphatic 5-1 win over Blueharts Thirds.
A superb season from the team has seen them win 18 of their 20 matches in the league. West Herts are assured of promotion with two games remaining. Justin Hoffman scored four times in their latest victory and Craig Cobb netted the other goal.
Captain Rob Gabriel said: "We're over the moon with promotion and we've had quite a few tight games. We've won 14 matches in a row and we're the highest points scoring team in the South East League."
The skipper singled out Morne Hoffman for praise in midfield after scoring 18 goals. Gabriel believes the team can hold their own next season in Division 3SW.
He said: "I think we will do quite well and at least stay in the division next year."
