Watford have sold almost 1,500 new season tickets so far

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Hornets are reporting brisk trade after their season tickets earlybird window – offering frozen prices for 2012/13 renewers – opened earlier this week.

Nearly 1,500 2013/14 season tickets have already been purchased, with new applicants making up over 200 of that figure.

“It’s great to see so many fans already taking us up on the earlybird offer,” said Richard Walker, the club’s head of supporter communication & sales.

“We’re expecting a spike in activity around the Burnley matchday, just after March payday for many people, although online renewing is proving very popular.

“Building on last year’s figure, we would expect to see over half of all those who renew to do so online, which means our ticket office staff can spend longer helping those enquiring about buying a season ticket for the first time or other popular options such as the ten-month direct debit scheme.”

Watford fans have until before the 5.20pm kick-off on Saturday, April 6 (v Cardiff City) to take advantage of the advertised earlybird prices.

Got mine. Adult ticket in the Rookery end. Direct Debit option £369.20, spread over 10 months. £16.05 per game if we're in the Championship, £19.43 a game to watch Premiership football. Even in tough times this is a good deal in my eyes.Get buying and support the Glory Orns!

I think 15k is a tad unrealistic for a town of our size and also based on all the london clubs nearby. Maybe in a few years we can hope to have that figure to aim for.

With the current capacity i do not think we would allocate 15,000 season tickets am i right in thinking a % needs to be left over for fans who have not got them also if everyone signed up for the auto cup scheme then we would be in trouble as the away fans would have the whole rookery that leaves a shortfall.
