Watford have a new kit sponsor in betting company 138.com and the shirt can be seen here.

The Hornets are planning to announce the new deal at 1.38pm today but the betting company have released a YouTube video in advance of the club’s announcement, which was pre-planned between both parties.

The video, which can be seen below, shows the new shirt and includes messages from the club’s head coach Gianfranco Zola, chief executive Scott Duxbury and Garth Kimber, who is CEO of the betting company’s parent company Xela Holdings and has been a Watford fan for more than 30 years.

Watford Observer: UPDATE: Watford's betting agreement is a three-year deal

The 138.com deal is worth more to Watford financially than the previous agreement with their former kit sponsor Football Manager, which Duxbury said is “continuing the relationship” with the club and there will be an announcement in the coming weeks.

Duxbury also said the new agreement is “a significant partnership deal for the club, probably one of its best in its recent history”.

Watford are likely to confirm in due course whether the children's shirts will carry the betting company's logo.

In the video, Duxbury said: “To be associated with such a global and international brand shows how far this club has come in the last 12 months.”

He continued: “Together over the next season we are going to achieve a great amount of success and I am excited about the future.”

Kimber said: “138.com is a new gaming brand. We were looking for a club to become their new shirt sponsor - a club with a plan, going somewhere and a little bit different.

“What we found in Watford was a club who knew what they wanted to do and we think they are going to be successful and we want to work with them to help them achieve that success.”

He added: “The club were kind enough to ask if we wanted any input on the shirts – the design and the colour – and our logo was being designed at the same time and I think they complement each other very well.

“I don’t take bets on Watford; I have been through it all before. I have been a Watford fan for 30 odd years and I am delighted that it is Watford which came out right, but it was a business decision.”

Zola said “I think we look very smart in the new shirt” but what do you think? Do you like the new shirt and kit sponsor? Take part in our ballot below and explain your decision in the comment section.
