Matej Vydra's agent has rarely been out of the national press this summer and after a couple of weeks of silence, he is back.

This time Ondrej Chovanec has told the Daily Mail that a potential switch to Swansea City is unlikely but he would welcome a move to West Ham United.

"West Ham are a very good club and Vydra would fit there very well," Chovanec said.

"They have Andy Carroll and Vydra played very well with a big striker last season in Troy Deeney.

"I have spoken to West Ham but not for two weeks now, the ball is in their court."

"I don't think they will try now, Swansea will not happen," added Chovanec.

"Swansea have already bought Bony and I don't think they will buy another striker.

"If they try to loan the player then the answer will be no, it's simple.

"He would like to continue in London somewhere, which football player would not want to live in London?"

Other national media have linked Vydra with a move to Norwich City and Southampton.

With almost six weeks of the transfer window remaining, this almost certainly will not be the last time Vydra and Chovanec are mentioned.

Watford head coach Gianfranco Zola has not given up hope of Vydra returning to Watford; read our article in last week's Watford Observer here.
