Former Watford captain John Eustace has finalised his move to Derby County and has signed a one-year deal with the Rams.
The 33-year-old midfielder left the Hornets this summer after five years at Vicarage Road.
Eustace struggled with injuries last season and only made seven appearances in the last campaign. His final game for Watford was against Bolton at the beginning of February.
Eustace, whose contract at Derby begins on August 1, has been training with the Rams during pre-season and has impressed manager Nigel Clough
He told the club's website: “We’re very happy to sign John and it’s no secret we’ve tried to bring him here permanently on a few occasions in the past.
“He’s got good experience and he’s a type of player we haven’t had in the squad for a while, so he’ll be vital both on and off the pitch.
“He’ll be very good for our midfielders as well, he’s got bags of experience and that’ll only help them improve as players too.”
Eustace made a total of 168 appearances for the Hornets during his time with the club and scored 16 times.
