Watford to play tribute song to ex-Manchester United winger Jimmy Davis ahead of today's game with Bournemouth
2:17pm Saturday 10th August 2013 in Sport
Watford will play the song Gangsta’s Paradise before today’s match in memory of former loanee Jimmy Davis, who died ten years ago yesterday.
The popular Davis was on loan from Manchester United when he died in a car accident in the early hours of August 9 2003 as he travelled back from seeing family and friends.
As part of his welcome initiation after joining the Hornets, the 21-year-old sang Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise and the song was played before the first game after his death, which was against today’s opponents Bournemouth.
In tribute to Davis, Watford will today play the song before their entrance music Z Cars.
