Kings Langley moved to the top of Spartan South Midlands League Division One after they took four points from their two fixtures over the Bank Holiday weekend.
On Tuedsay, Kings claimed a point as they drew 3-3 with Bedford.
Joe Gallagher opened the scoring in the ninth minute as he sent a rasping drive into the top corner. The lead was soon doubled and it was Gallagher again as he collected a pass from Tom Carter before converting a left-footed effort.
Kings were in control but gave away a penalty shortly before the interval and Jamie Cole held his nerve from 12 yards.
Bedford were in the ascendency after the break and two goals in seven minutes from Chris Johnson gave them a surprise lead.
However, Kings battled back and an 81st-minute Adam Hallissey goal meant the points were shared.
Langley were in more ruthless mood on Saturday as Ritchie Hanlon, Jack Johnson and Sam Warrell were all on target in a 3-1 win against Broxbourne Borough.
