There is a new name at the top of the Senior Premier Division after Whitwell won 2-1 at Mill End Sports on Saturday courtesy of a Junior Morrison brace, which takes his tally to seven goals for the season.
It was a rare home defeat for Sports, who pulled one back late on through Karl Swan to ensure a tense finish.
Bedmond Sports & Social looked on course for victory as the two remaining teams with 100 per cent records went head-to-head at Sarratt when the prolific Gary Sippetts netted in the first half, but strikes from Shaun Banham and James Esprit turned the game on its head to secure a fine win for the home side.
The game at The Medburn Ground also saw a remarkable comeback as Belstone marched into a 3-0 lead only for Bush Hill Rangers to go on and win a nine-goal thriller 5-4.
Darren Turner bagged two goals with Lee Inch and Jamie Arthur also scoring for Belstone, while Lamar Cato and Ogur Karaboyn claimed two apiece to add to a Rocheim Stewart strike for Rangers.
Bushey Sports Club clicked into gear against a Sandridge Rovers side yet to find their feet as they recorded a 5-0 home victory.
Gavin Chatterpaul and Marcus Fearon led the way with two-goal hauls and Jack Brown rounded off the scoring.
Another side bouncing back in style were Standon & Puckeridge after they put Chipperfield Corinthians to the sword with four unanswered goals.
An own goal got Standon started with Anthony Miles, Chris Babbage and James Endacott finishing the job off.
Bushey Rangers now sit proudly at the top of Senior Division One following a 6-0 rout against AFC Hatfield.
Ricardo Faux-James claimed four goals for himself and teammate Luke Lloyd scored the other two.
Evergreen’s 100 per cent start was grounded spectacularly by Hatfield Social, who won 4-0 at Southway.
The visitors scored twice in each half through Jamie McVeigh, Ryan North and a brace from James Millard to see Social jump into third spot.
There was a first three-pointer of the season for Old Parmiterians, as efforts from James Booth, Jonathan DaSilva and an own goal bettered strikes from Welwyn Garden City’s Matt McArdle and Robert Gregory at Herns Way to secure a 3-2 away win.
