Garston Girls Under-16 Sharks lost 6-5 to Hemel Hempstead in the League Cup in an enthralling contest.
A Jade Roberts hat-trick and a brace from Leah Crockett proved not enough for the Sharks, who were sunk by a last-minute winner.
Garston’s Under-16 Mets lost 2-1 to rivals Bury Rangers Reds in the League Cup.
Holly Jury put the Mets ahead but two late goals won the game for Bury.
There were three points for the Under-14s however, who beat St Albans 2-0 thanks to a long-range Charli Dormer effort and a fine solo goal from Ellie Fitzgibbons.
The Under-13s endured a 6-1 defeat to Abbots Langley in the first round of the League Cup as Yasmin Sabri’s second-half strike proved no more than a consolation.
A 5-0 victory away at Denham United saw the Under-12 Mets extend their unbeaten run to a remarkable 62 competitive games.
The Mets proved too strong for Denham and the victory, secured thanks to goals from Raaya Thanki, Abby Reith, Abbie Lafayette, Ruby Jager and Mia Ford, was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests.
The Under-12 Diamonds conceded a goal in the last minute to lose 1-0 against St Albans Rangers.
Garston Ladies Under-11 Mets continued their perfect start to the season with a hard-fought 3-1 win over King George at the Met Police Club on Saturday.
Both sides went into the fixture boasting 100 per cent records so something had to give and it was Garston who struck first when Claudia Bulow found the back of the net thanks to a deflection.
But King George fought back to equalise before Paige Andrews restored the Mets’ advantage. The second half was a tense affair until Andrews settled Garston’s nerves with her second of the game to secure the win.
The Under-11 Diamonds picked up their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw against Berkhamsted Raiders.
The Diamonds found themselves a goal down early on and had to battle hard to equalise through Sharday Constable.
