Derby County interested in Watford target and West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne

Watford could face competition from Derby County in the race to sign West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne.
The Hornets have been interested in Thorne for some time and we understand the club were confident they would secure his signature last week.
However, the loan agreement has yet to be concluded and Derby County's first team coach Paul Simpson has confirmed the Rams are interested in the defensive midfielder.
Thorne captained West Brom's Under-21s in their 4-2 win over Liverpool at the weekend. The 20-year-old set up the first goal for former Hornet Matej Vydra and scored the second through a 20-yard strike.
"He is a player who we have talked about," Simpson told the Derby Telegraph.
"George is a player who has been really unfortunate with injuries. He has been out long-term.
"We had the game covered on Sunday when he played against Liverpool.
"I am sure he is somebody we will continue to monitor but as far as I know he is not somebody who is going to be coming in imminently."
