Watford Harriers’ Julian Critchlow’s final race for the club ended with victory as he came out on top at the Cross Country Championships in Cassiobury Park on Sunday.

Critchlow, who is jetting off to Australia, was a comfortable winner and crossed the line in 28.36 to seal first place in the men’s race.

Great Britain international triathlete Hannah Kitchen eased to top spot in the ladies event as she crossed the line in 21.06.

There was a strong turnout at the club event with more than 60 runners in action across four age groups.

On Saturday, Harriers’ ladies veterans finished in fifth place in the British Masters Cross Country Relays in Derby.

Each athlete ran 3k and Moira Craft led off before passing on to Caroline Whittaker. She ran the second leg before off-loading to Angie Halford and she brought the side home in fifth.
