Watford face Leeds United tomorrow for the first time since the Yorkshire club cost them their chance of automatic promotion.

The Hornets were beaten 2-1 at home to Leeds in the final game of last season which forced Gianfranco Zola’s side to go into the play-offs.

Plenty has changed since May and United now find themselves above Watford in seventh place.

Brian McDermott’s side have won their last five home games which suggests their price of 11/8 with Coral is more than fair.

The Golden Boys have enjoyed recent success at Elland Road which may convince some optimistic punters to back them at 2/1 with Paddy Power. Watford have picked up seven points from their last three visits, including a memorable 6-1 thrashing of United last season.

Three wins from their last five games at Leeds is an impressive return but their current winless run of seven matches remains a concern.

The Hornets have drawn their last three away matches, including Tuesday’s clash at Burnley. Watford can be backed to continue this run at 12/5 with Coral.

Ross McCormack has scored nine goals in his last five Leeds matches and the Scottish striker looks worth backing at 5/1 with Betfred to be the first goalscorer and also to net anytime at 11/8.
