A stunning performance at Loftus Road saw Watford end Queens Park Rangers' hopes of equalling their club-record 20-match unbeaten run.
Hoops boss Neil Warnock admitted his side were fortunate not to concede double figures after they were beaten 3-1 thanks to a Danny Graham brace and a Jordon Mutch effort.
A delighted Malky Mackay said afterwards: "To a man, and I include the substitutes in that, I think they were all nines out of ten."
