Gianfranco Zola is delighted Troy Deeney has responded to recent "discussions" and believes the striker is now “back on track” after scoring two goals against Leeds United on Saturday.
The 25-year-old had found the net only once in his nine matches before Saturday’s game but Zola was pleased to see Deeney add two more to his tally at Elland Road and put in an impressive all-round performance.
“I’m delighted for him,” Zola said after the 3-3 draw.
“We had some discussions and it’s so good to see him back on track and not only scoring, but playing well as well.
"He’s very big for us.”
