Jimmy 'Whirlwind' White says the Snooker Legends event which will be held at Watford Colosseum next month showcases the “lighter side of the sport”.

White will team up with Dennis Taylor to take on Stephen Hendry and Steve Davis at the show, which will take place on Friday, January 10.

In addition to the match, John Virgo will be on hand to provide commentary and analysis and selected fans will have the chance to play with their favourite potters.

White said: “It is great fun and it makes a big difference. Most people only see the serious side of snooker so when we have a laugh and show the lighter side of the sport, people really love it. But we all try and win, there’s no question about that.

“The Snooker Legends show started five years ago with me and the late Alex Higgins. It proved really popular and then John Parrot joined and Stephen Henry followed.

Now Ronnie O’Sullivan and Steve Davis have joined and it is getting more and more popular.”
