Call me old fashioned but i think it is appalling to appoint a man with no ability to speak English. How can he get his message across, how can he inspire the players, how can he rise the squad at half-time when 1-0 down?

The answer to these questions is he can't. Don't care how long he spends on tactical sessions, how about doing some english language sessions?

Total disgrace.

Ok ..... Zola spoke decent English and we lost at home for 5 on bounce....This guy cant and we won 4-0 and drew 0--0 with a decent side....What a stupid comment you make. People like you we as a club don't need. Football is a worldwide game not just in little Watford or Rickmansworth. Southampton not doing too bad with a manager who cant speak English...or Brighton...or Middlesborough.....B

Hey, old fashioned, Pottechino didn't speak a word of English when he first arrived - now he speaks just a little. I'll bet that Sannino will speak better English that Pottechino after just a few months. GZ was proficient in English as he had worked for many years here.

Firstly, give the man a chance. He's already said that the first thing he said to the squad was apologise for not speaking English and that he will learn the language ASAP. Secondly, get with the times my friend and cheer the #### up! Football is ultimately a results based business. Don't reckon you'll be complaining if we climb the table and get into the play offs? Huh? In the Pozzos I trust

RR I have to say I completely agree with you. If you look at the manager on the sidelines he is like an actor, animated beyond belief, and that's purely because he can't speak English. We get a late goal to sneak a draw at Ipswich, beat 10 men, and draw with a team that didn't play a striker and apparently it's now all positive? What a terrible appointment, and time will show that the board have made a massive mistake

If you look at the teams managed, he doesn't appear to stick around for long in Italy, so why would he now show loyalty to a club he has no affiliation with in England?

Re. his animation - it appears uncannily similar to Paulo Di Canio and we all know how his time at Sunderland went down.

I'm not going to get into a debate about the Pozzos - some of their off-the-pitch work has been fantastic (new east stand, reorganising the ticket office, etc.), but i do feel they really missed a trick in not getting Steve Clarke.

RR
I accept he may have turned us down but it looks like we didn't even bother to find out!
