Oxhey Jets slipped to their seventh league loss in a row as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Cockfosters.
Wayne Gladdy's men have not won in the Premier Division since November 2 and are now fifth from bottom of the table.
There was room for encouragement on Saturday though. Jets started the brighter but James Armstrong and Ryan O'Sullivan both squandered opportunities to open the scoring.
The home side paid the price soon after as Cockfosters took the lead when Phil Kane's cross was converted by Emond Protain.
Jets had chances to equalise in the second half but Karl Bull and Ashley Fongho were unable to find the net.
Cockfosters were more clinical and the lead was doubled by Luke Durnin after possession had been carelessly surrendered in midfield.
Gladdy brought himself on and scored to pull his team back into the contest but the away side held on to claim all three points.
Jets are away to Hillingdon Borough on Saturday.
