Having narrowly overcome another non-league side, Hillingdon Borough, in the previous round the Hornets came up against Northwich Victoria in the third round of the FA Cup.
Goals from Keith Mercer and Dennis Bond twice gave the Hornets the lead as the visitors dominated the first half but Jeff Swede cancelled out each and Frank Corrigan secured a 3-2 cup upset at the Drill Field.
The Northern Premier League side remains the last non-league team to beat the Hornets in a competitive match.
