Barry Fry's relegation-bound Birmingham City were demolished 5-2 at Vicarage Road.
Bruce Dyer was instrumental in the victory, combining well with Paul Furlong who struck a hat-trick. Andy Hessenthaler, and a Liam Daish own goal, provided the other goals, whilst Birmingham had both Gary Cooper and Steve Claridge sent off.
This was the Hornets' seventh consecutive victory over the Blues at Vicarage Road, and saw the debut of recent signing David Barnes at left-back.
