Watford Harriers' Hannah Kitchen continued her excellent form with a third-place finish in the Chiltern League fourth round on Saturday.

Kitchen crossed the line in 21.34 which was enough to place in the top three in the senior women’s race.

She was ably supported by Angela Halford (23.07), whose 16th-place finish overall guaranteed a bronze medal in the Over-35 category.

Caroline Whittaker also had a fine race and she was third in the Over-45 category and clinched 32nd place overall.

In the Under-15 boys’ race, Tom Rayner (13.19) continued his good form after returning from injury with an eighth-place finish.

In the senior men’s event, John McGinn was 19th in 29.40 and Matt Adcock was 36th in 30.45 which saw him claim fourth in the Over-40 race.

In total Harriers had 35 athletes competing and a similar turnout in the final fixture at Wing on Saturday, February 8 should guarantee first division survival.
