Watford Ladies will take on West Ham United or C&K Basildon in the third round of the Women’s FA Cup.

The Hornets have been drawn away from home and the tie will take place on Sunday, February 19.

The Golden Girls have bolstered their squad ahead of the upcoming Women’s Super League Two campaign by bringing Bonnie Horwood back to the club from Notts County.

The former England Under-23 international had two previous loan spells with the Hornets, the last of which came last season where she made 11 appearances and scored twice for the Golden Girls.

She returned to Lincoln following her loan with Watford and was part of the team which reached the Continental Cup final.

Horwood is pleased to have returned to the club and believes the Hornets will be able to challenge for the title in the forthcoming campaign.

“We’re looking to try and win the league,” she said. “There’s no reason why not, the squad’s a lot stronger a year on.

“I think everyone seems to underestimate Watford, which is a good thing.”

Watford boss John Salomon said the Golden Girls held off competition from other clubs in the race to sign Horwood and believes she will bring valuable experience to the side.

He said: “Bonnie made a great impact when she was with us last season.

"She was versatile, helped evolve our developing style of play with her quality on the ball and was a calming influence in the squad with great experience that our young group could learn from.”
