Moor Park Tennis Club have received the coveted Clubmark status from the Lawn Tennis Association for their work with young players.
Sport England introduced the award in 2002 which recognises four key areas of development – coaches and volunteers, good practice, knowing their community and their playing programme.
Malcolm Turner, chairman of tennis, explained the award confirms Moor Park run comprehensive tennis programmes for players of all ages and abilities as well as delivering best practice policies and procedures for junior members.
David Cook, Moor Park’s chief executive, said that he was delighted that Nigel Buckman and his team had received this award after working so hard with the juniors, and creating such an all-round high standard.
