Watford triumphed via the odd goal in five in an entertaining game at Carrow Road that yielded 44 goal attempts.
Striker Marlon King, who was to be the division's leading scorer, was the creative force on this occasion setting up two equalisers for Darius Henderson and Matthew Spring's dramatic last-minute winner.
The victory helped protect Watford's play-off place; the four teams in the play-off positions after this result would retain them for all but three days of the rest of the season.
