Watford Ladies Hornets Under-16s are two points clear at the top of the table after a 4-0 win against Bishop’s Stortford.

The Hornets managed to score before half-time after a good cross from Emma Bebbinton found Sofie Georgiou at the back post to head home.

In the second period, the Hornets dominated and had several early chances before Megan Warner curled a shot into the top corner in the 55th minute.

Georgiou then bagged her second before Zoe Cohen sealed victory with Watford’s fourth.

Things didn’t go so well for the Under-14 Watford Ladies Harts as they went down 8-0 to league leaders Luton Town.

The Harts started the game well but despite an excellent performance from player of the match Emily Turnbull, they were unable to cope with Luton’s pace going forward.

The weather wiped out the majority of Garston Ladies’ fixture list last weekend but both of the Under-10 sides – the Mets and the Diamonds – saw action against Bedwell Rangers Stars and St Albans City respectively.

Bliss Murray notched a hat-trick for the Mets while Simone Hingston netted for the Diamonds.
