Watford hosted Leicester City for the first time in a league game, featuring on ITV's The Big Match.

Len Glover gave the visitors the lead, but with time running out the same player handled in the box, Keith Eddy scoring the subsequent penalty.

An unlikely victory was sealed in the closing moments as Barry Endean beat a young Peter Shilton.
