Fullerians Under-18s remain top of Herts Middlesex League One after they completed a 22-5 victory against Cheshunt.

After winning the toss, Fullers had the slope to their advantage in the opening period and pinned Cheshunt back in their own half.

Sustained driving by the forwards sucked in the opposition defence and the ball was eventually handed to Ben Meyers who skipped clear of the covering defender to score an unconverted try.

Fullers kept the pressure on Cheshunt, however, with the slippery ball they weren't able to convert their chances.

Good game management by Fullers led to Cheshunt being pinned in their 22 and, after good driving at the lineout, the ball was moved to Jake Howard who burst through two covering tackles to score close to the posts. Craig Duncan converted a 12 - 0 lead.

Fullers led at the interval but they had to play up the slope in the second period and the elements were against them.

However, Fullers upped their game. With the bench being fully rotated their new players took the game to Cheshunt to pin them in their 22.

Unfortunately, a number of good attacking positions were lost due to poor decision making or trying to force the pass.

Cheshunt began to concede a number of penalties and their number 15 was sin-binned for a head butt.

Duncan slotted over the penalty to put Fullers 15-0 ahead.

Straight from the kick off Fullers didn't clear their line and Cheshunt were able to score in the corner.

Fullers didn't panic but drove up field and stayed camped on the Cheshunt 22. From a scrum the ball was moved to Duncan and he evaded four challenges before going over and adding the extras. Fullers were unable to find the fourth try needed for a bonus point but they eased to a comfortable win.
