Watford Ladies continued their preparations for the forthcoming Women’s Super League season by defeating MK Dons Ladies 6-0 in a friendly.
The Hornets were in control throughout the contest and opened up a 3-0 lead by the interval after a brace from Emma Beckett and a volley from Sarah Wiltshire.
In the second period, Wiltshire grabbed her second goal of the contest as she finished Megan Wynne’s cut back.
Wynne then got on the scoresheet as she slotted home when through on goal and Emily Heaslip completed the rout as she smashed a loose ball into the net from the edge of the box.
The Golden Girls are in competitive action this Sunday as they face West Ham United Ladies in the Women’s FA Cup third round proper.
The match will be played at Thurrock’s Ship Lane and the winners of the tie will face National Premier League champions Sunderland in the next round.
