Students from six secondary schools and one other educational establishment are now eligible to submit entries for the Watford Observer Young Sports Writer of the Year Awards after the extended registration deadline closed on Wednesday.

The schools to sign up for the awards are Kings Langley Merchant Taylors’, Northwood, Queens’, Rickmansworth and Watford Grammar School for Boys, along with Watford FC’s Community Sports and Education Trust. The organisers thank them for their support and also the parents of those home-educated children in our area who are also now registered to take part.

Each organisation and parent has been given access to our website, enabling them to upload entries when they wish and submissions will be able to read at our online awards section here.

Details of how entries can be put forward for judging will be released in due course.
