Watford boss Beppe Sannino screeches at mention of potential Hornets play-off push in the Championship

A third win in four games means Watford are now nine points from the last play-off spot with a game in hand but when asked if the Hornets could still make it into the top six on Saturday, Beppe Sannino let out a shriek of displeasure.

The flamboyant Italian has always refused to talk about the Championship table, insisting his focus is only on the next game and not on his team's points tally.

In his post-match press conference, Sannino was asked if Watford were gathering momentum for a potential play-off push.

He threw his hands in the air and let out a high-pitched screech before saying: "I am not watching the table, I am watching only what we did today.

"We moved up the table and this victory allows us to go to Yeovil in good spirits but it’s another game.

"I would like to enjoy this three points and from tomorrow we start to think about the next match."

With Reading's win on Sunday, it's now 9 points off the play-offs, or 7 straight wins just to get on terms: Yeovil, Bolton, Blackpool, Charlton, Doncaster, Barnsley and Wigan. Game on!

Back to 6 when we get revenge on Yeovil, disappointed QPR didn't help us out, in fact Diakite almost scupperd us too.
But even if they did get result playoff gap would have only reduced to 5 behind Brighton (or 6 web hind Reading ith game in hand whichever you look at)... Cannot depend on other teams results I guess. We have to make it happen ourselves...
6 points this week and let see how the other games pan out!
21 points out of next 7 games would be hornet Eutopia... Not there yet! But one hell of a accumulator

Beppe is absolutely right, one game at a time with a 100% concentration. If we take our eye off the game we will blow it. Come the end of January we can afford to look where we are. Tomorrow night it's Yeovil and I will be there urging them on with my Grandson. We will have somewhere in the region of a rhousand supporters there tomorrow night. Which is quite magnificent considering the distance, an evening k.o., time of year and the weather. Have a safe journey!

End of January will be too late, maybe end of March.
