Watford's trip to Charlton Athletic will now be the Hornets' last away fixture of the regular season

Watford will have a game in hand on almost all of the other Championship sides until the final week of the season after the Charlton fixture was rescheduled for April 29.

The Hornets were due to travel to the Valley on March 8 but the Addicks' win at Sheffield Wednesday last night means they will not be in FA Cup quarter-final action that weekend.

The Golden Boys will now face Charlton on Tuesday, April 29 (kick-off 7.45pm) which makes the fixture their second last of the regular season.

That date was selected because the week of April 29 is Charlton's only free midweek between now and the end of the 2013/14 campaign due to other postponements.

Surely that should read that they WILL be in FA cup action that weekend.
Don't forget there is also play-0ff semi away leg.

Blimmin eck! - they're gonna be shattered by the time we get to play them then. Between now and the rescheduled game, They're playing 4 more games minimum (plus maybe a FACup semi final (and final!)) than us and most other teams in the league, inc their relegation rivals
I can see them going down. Maybe we'll send them down in their own back yard!

Charlton and millwall going down and qpr crashing and burning would give me a crumb of enjoyment. Especially if we play our part in all three.

so what will the team do with the week off?

POSSIBLY a nice warm weather break in Dubai to refresh them from all
their rigours and as a reward for the "hard work" they put in.

Or possibly 10 days in a Marine boot camp to get them fit?
your thoughts please

I do love your compassion for their situation.

If Warnock was their boss we would hear him moan to camera at every opportunity.

3 point!

No particular beef with Charlton......rememb
er being so exciting about our 1st game back in the Prem with Aidy's team- only for the b in the black give a 'handball' via Chrissy Powell's face for Everton...
I'd much prefer any or all teams from Lancs to go down.

When we have too many games we loose freely. We are now due ot play Huddersfield ( who are very good) just a few days after charlton. No-one should forget that they are doing well and have a number of new players. seems like we will have a very bad saturday if they land up tired again. I don't think this is good news for us.

Remember it well. Another ar5e ref decision favouring the big clubs. That season Watford got no points in games with the top 6 clubs. Outside the top 6 Watford were NOT losing in ANY league game at 85 mins until they played Spurs in March.
