It was the turn of Little Hay Golf Club’s juniors to take centre stage during the half-term break and there were victories for Brad Tobin and Jamie Barker.
In the Wednesday competition, Tobin was tied with Daniel Barker on 45 points but was awarded the title on count back.
Daniel Barker had to settle for second place and Luke Wrathall rounded off the top three with 41 points.
In the Friday event, Jamie Barker clinched overall victory with 41 points while Craig Walker was second with 40 points. Robbie McIvor rounded off the top three with 38 points.
In the men’s section, Nick Jefferson won the Alan Irwin Shield with a score of 37 points. Second was Steven Crowhurst with 36 points and Mick Milne was third with 34 points.
The senior men’s February stableford saw Peter Balding secure victory with 39 points. Derek Tarling was second with 38 points and Andy Sergides ended in third place.
