Garston Ladies (96) went goal crazy on Sunday as they recorded an impressive 10-3 away win at AFC Kempston.

The first half was actually a close affair with both Steph Allen and Teanne Luck grabbing a brace each to establish a narrow 4-3 lead at half-time.

However, Garston took control after the break and added a further six goals without reply. Allen completed her hat-trick while Daisy Rendle got in on the action with a brace, as well as Paige Cook-Kenny, Ella Cowderoy and Dani Freeman all netting.

An all-Garston affair saw the Under-16 Mets up against the Under-16 Diamonds and it was the Mets, once again, who came out on top with a 9-0 victory.

Rachel Rabin netted four times while Olivia Thomson and Natalie Powell grabbed a brace each and Clarisse Patel completed the scoring.

Garston Under-14s put in an excellent performance to hold high-flying Hitchin Belles for most of the game before conceding a last-minute goal.

The Under-13s also suffered disappointment after losing by a single goal to local rivals Kings Langley 3-2.

Yasmin Sabri and Emily Downey were on the scoresheet for Garston, before Langley scored the winner in the dying minutes.

The Under-11 Mets lost 2-0 in the County Cup semi-final to King George and the Under-11 Diamonds also lost after a battling performance against Bishops Storford 4-3.

Georgia Rosenberg won the player of the match award for a fine all-round performance, including a first hat-trick for the club.

The Under-10 Mets travelled to Borehamwood and came back with a 5-3 win in their first competitive match. Bliss Murray could be a star of the future having scored all five of her side’s goals to take her season’s tally to 32.
