Oxhey Jets continue to move away from the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division relegation zone as they claimed a 2-2 draw against London Lions on Saturday.

Jets broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when Luke Beardsworth produced a fine curled strike to put the visitors in front.

It wasn’t an advantage Jets were able to hold on to though and the game was level at the interval after a fantastic solo goal from Lions’ Josh Kerrett.

The second period was well contested and, with 20 minutes remaining, Jets retook the lead as Adam Lowton was able to bundled the ball over the line after good work from Lee Armitt.

The lead lasted just 60 seconds however. Kerrett again weaved his way through the Oxhey defence before slotting home.

Jets pushed forward in the closing stages as they searched for a winner but the points were shared.

Oxhey Jets Reserves made it through to the Herts Intermediate Cup final after defeating Bushey Rangers 6-2.

George Hobson opened the scoring but Bushey soon equalised. Dominic David struck twice and Jermaine Heron also netted.

Rangers grabbed a second but David struck twice late on to complete his hat-trick and round of the win.
