HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE ROUND-UP

Sarratt remain in the Senior Premier Division title hunt after completing a 4-1 win against Mill End Sports on Saturday.

Strikes from Harry Brock, Shaun Banham, Mark Shanahan and an own goal were enough for Sarratt to overcome their opponents.

Their consolation was scored by Karl Swan.

Sarratt sit third in the table and are six points behind league leaders Whitwell, who beat Chipperfield Corinthians 3-1.

Chipperfield held a half-time lead after Ben Picton found the net but the table-toppers responded in the second period through Ryan Forster, Aaron Harvey and Wayne Mullolly.

Bovingdon were in fine form as they completed a 5-1 win against second-bottom club Knebworth.

Ben Davis netted a brace and there were singles for Josh Bundey, Chris Truman and Miles Bevan.

The Knebworth goal was scored by Christian Lett.

In Senior Division One, Evergreen returned to action after a ten-week break and played out a 2-2 draw against Hertford Heath.

After a rusty start, Evergreen went ahead as Chris Blunden found the net but Hertford responded through George Hunt shortly before the interval.

Evergreen improved in the second period and regained the lead as Blunden grabbed his second of the contest.

It wasn’t enough for the visitors however as Ryan Casey struck an equaliser and the points were shared.

Bushey Rangers suffered a 2-1 defeat against AFC Hatfield.

A brace from Stefan Saywell was enough to cancel out a strike from Jamal Stapleton.

Old Parmiterians’ home match against Codicote Sports was postponed.

In the third round of the Anagram Records Trophy, Bedmond Sports and Social Club advanced with a 2-0 extra-time win against Bushey Sports Club.

The match was goalless after 90 minutes but an own goal and a strike from Dan Campbell saw Bedmond through to the next stage of the competition.

Belstone exited the competition after they were beaten 3-1 against Kent Athletic.

Lee Inch grabbed the consolation for Belstone.
