Swindon Town were the visitors for one of the last Southern League fixtures at Cassio Road.
With boils keeping Ted Bassett out, Frank Hoddinott came in at outside-right and he opened the scoring with his first goal at Cassio Road, a long-range shot that according to the Watford Observer "broke at the last like a cunning delivery from a first class bowler."
Bob Barnshaw and Charlie White added goals in an unflattering 3-1 victory.
