Hannah Kitchen helped the South of England finish third at the Home Countries International Cross Country Championships in Nottingham on Saturday.

The Rickmansworth-based Great Britain international triathlete was part of a team of four in the senior women's race. It was a small field with under 30 runners but the pace was fast from the start.

She finished strongly to end up in 16th place with a time of 30.38 and third quickest from the South. Their performance ensured the South team finished third behind the England and the North side.

The former Watford Grammar School for Girls pupil managed to secure 28th place at the UK Inter Counties Cross Country Championships in Birmingham earlier this month.

Kitchen, who is sponsored by Sense of Nutrition, Better You, Bonk Triathlon, Bounce Balls and Evolved Clinic, has turned her attention to the next target at the British Elite Duathlon Championships in Corby.
